Fultium-D3 is a Vitamin D supplement which helps increase calcium levels inside the bone which directly increase its density and making them less likely to break and fracture. It is used to both prevent and treat bone problems such as osteoporosis.
Fultium-D3 is a Vitamin D supplement which helps increase calcium levels inside the bone which directly increase its density and making them less likely to break and fracture.
The active ingredient of Fultium-D3 is colecalciferol or Vitamin D3. It is a form of inactive Vitamin D which is then converted to the active form when ingested in the body. Vitamin D is important in maintaining the calcium levels inside the bones as it is needed in calcium absorption. Without it, bones can’t absorb calcium and become brittle and thin as a result.
Vitamin D is readily created by the body through sun exposure. It is synthesized in the skin from cholesterol and is activated when the skin is exposed to sunlight—more specifically, UVB radiation present in the sun’s rays. The recommended levels of Vitamin D in the blood for normal functioning should range between 20 to 500 ng/ml. However, due to various reasons, some people lack Vitamin D or aren’t able to produce as much which leads them to having Vitamin D Deficiency problems.
Colecalciferol doesn’t directly increase the bone density on its own. It aids bones in absorbing more calcium from the blood stream and into the bone tissue to make them stronger. Therefore, an increase in calcium is also recommended to ensure that the body has enough calcium to store in the bones. Calcium is also needed elsewhere in the body and lack of it will cause the body get more from the bones leading to brittleness.
