The Babystart FertilTests for Couples includes fertility testing kits for both males and females. The male kit, Babystart Fertilcount, will measure the amount of sperm in a sample from the male partner, whilst the female testing kit, Babystart FertilCheck measures levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in the female partner. The pack enables both partners to complete the test privately in their own home.

For women, the Babystart FertilCheck Female Fertility test measures the sex hormone FSH - this is an indicator of their body clock. A woman's natural fertility does begin to decline when they hit 30, gradually decreasing until menopause. As their fertility decreases, the follicle-stimulating hormone levels increase. The fertility test reads the level of FSH.

The test is greater than 99% accurate.

For men, the Babystart FertilCount Male Fertility test is a quick diagnostic test of sperm concentration in semen. The World Health Organisation has defined a man's fertility on the basis of the concentration of sperm in semen with the cut-off point being set at 15 million sperm per mL of sperm. The Babystart FertilCount Male Fertility test kits are a unique home test that will tell you if a man's sperm concentration is greater or less than the WHO cut-off point. A positive result is an indicator of fertility, although it is not a guarantee of fertility. A negative result indicates that the tester should visit his doctor.

The Babystart FertilCheck Female Fertility test kit and the Babystart FertilCount Male Fertility test kit will allow a couple planning a pregnancy to test their fertility potential, privately and discreetly in their own home.
