Marvelon Birth Control

Marvelon, a combination birth control pill composed of desogestrel and ethynylestradiol, when taken properly, prevents pregnancy.

Follow the direction of the arrows on the strip, taking one pill each day, until you consumed all the 21 pills. Swallow a pill whole, with or without water. Do not crush or chew the pill.

You have seven days of pill-free days after you have consumed the 21 pills. You will experience a withdrawal bleed a few days after taking the last of the 21 pills. You don’t have to wait until the bleeding is finished before you start the next pack. Start the new pack immediately after the last day of the seven days of no pills.

If you experienced an abortion or a miscarriage, you can start taking Marvelon immediately. This will provide you with contraceptive protection with your first pill.

If you miss a pill, take it as soon as you remember. You might be taking two pills in one day. There is no need to worry as you are still protected against pregnancy.
