Time-released lasts for 3 to 4 hours so if you cannot go to sleep within that time frame, you will need to take another pill. For awakenings at night that lasts less than one hour, take a sublingual tablet. It is a pill that dissolves under the tongue. It is immediately released into the bloodstream and is not metabolized by the digestive system.
