Condyline is an alcoholic solution which contains the active ingredient podophyllotoxin. This is a plant extract and it is used to treat genital warts.

When applied directly to the genital warts, this medication works by penetrating the wart tissue and preventing the cells from dividing and multiplying.

Part of a group of sexually transmitted infections, Genital warts are caused by a particular strain of HPV. They can cause pain, discomfort and itching and left untreated, can be spread to other people.

Using Condyline to clear genital warts restores health and normality to daily life and sex life.

Condyline is a prescription-only medication. Always follow the advice of your doctor and read the patient information leaflet provided in the medication packet.

Before applying the Condyline solution, wash the affected area with soap and water and then dry well. The end of the applicator has a hole in it so when you dip the end into the bottle, do it enough for the hole to fill with solution. Apply this onto each wart, one at a time, and let it dry naturally. Make sure you don’t do more than 50 dips into the bottle, as only a small area should be treated at one time.

You should start your first treatment in the morning, and then repeat the process 12 hours later, and then twice a day for the next 2 days.

If you are showing symptoms for or being treated for genital warts then you should not engage in sexual contact with anyone because of the risk of passing it on and spreading the disease.

Condyline contains the active ingredient of podophyllotoxin, which comes at a concentration of 0.5% in bottles of 3.5 ml.

The standard dose is six treatments over 3 days, for which you should not exceed unless told to do so by your doctor. If your warts have not disappeared or improved after the treatment then your doctor may tell you to repeat the treatment. However, you should ask for guidance first instead of taking action on your own.

If you forget to complete your Condyline treatment then simply apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it’s nearly time for your next dose then skip the forgotten one and move straight onto the next one.

If you use more Condyline than you should, or apply it in the wrong place then you should wash the area with soap and water. If someone happens to ingest some of the solution then contact your nearest doctor or emergency department as soon as possible.

Before taking Condyline, you should always first consult your doctor. You should not take Condyline if any of the following apply to you:

    • If you are allergic to podophyllotoxin or any of the other ingredients in the medicine
    • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • If you are a child under 12 years of age
    • On healthy skin, skin that is bleeding or inflamed, or on open wounds after an operation
    • In combination with other products containing podophyllin

Your prescription of Condyline may also be affected by a number of other factors, so you should extra precaution in the following circumstances:

    • If you are female, this medicine should only be used under close medical supervision
    • If you are male and have a lot of warts covering an area larger than 4 cm2 (approximately the size of a postage stamp). You should only use this medicine under close medical supervision
    • This medicine can cause systemic toxicity (effects on the whole body). The risk of this is increased by treating large areas with excessive amounts for a long time.

Like many medications with active ingredients, Condyline can affect or be affected by other medicines. Particular medications that you may experience this with include the following:

    • Medicines containing podophyllin

If you have ever had genital warts or are currently being treated for it then you should always practice safe sex by using condoms. If you have genital sores or blisters then you should avoid having sex entirely, until they have been treated.

The most common side effects of using Condyline include:

    • Inflammation of the foreskin and head of the penis
    • Local irritation of the vagina
    • Mild irritation of your warts shortly after applying the solution
    • Although it is unlikely, some people may experience an allergic reaction to the active ingredient podophyllotoxin.

If you do experience one or more of these side effects and they persist or worsen, then inform your doctor right away. You should also contact your doctor immediately if you experience any serious side effects.

You can safely buy Condyline online at UK Meds. You will first need to have an online consultation with a medical doctor before your order will be supplied. The online consultation will ensure that Condyline is the right medication for your medical condition.
