They are washable and have a valved non-replaceable filter. They are ideal for times when face coverings are required, based on your individual needs.

Returns or refunds will only be accepted on sealed/unopened products, due to health and safety reasons.

These face coverings shield the nose and mouth, are washable and have a valved non-replaceable filter. They meet the requirement from the government that states that people must wear a face covering in circumstances where they're unable to socially distance.

What are the benefits of these face coverings?

These face coverings are porous and breathable, making them comfortable to wear even for long periods of time. The fabric is soft and doesn’t irritate the skin.

They are made of ROHS material with double protection and the filter also helps to make the masks more breathable. These face coverings are washable, meaning it can keep you company over and over again.

What do the face coverings look like?

They are black in colour with a black plastic filter piece, and the face covering is fitted with ear loops to attach it to your face. They are 14cm in height and designed to cover your nose and mouth.

How do I use the face covering?

First things first, wash your hands with soap and water or use a hand sanitiser gel to ensure your hands are clean before touching the face mask. You should inspect it before wearing it to ensure it’s not damaged or broken, but always pick it up by the fastenings, rather than the fabric itself.

Once you’re satisfied that the face covering is not damaged, you should work out which way up it goes. Since these are moulded to the shape of your face, this should be clear. The filter piece should sit with it protruding outwards.

Bring the mask up to your face and hang the ear loops over your ears. Make sure it is fitting comfortably and covering your nose and mouth (adjust if necessary). Wash your hands again to complete the fitting of the face covering.

How to wash the face coverings

When your face covering is ready to be washed, simply do this on a hand wash or on a gentle cycle in the washing machine below 60 degrees.

    What other masks are available?

As well as these washable filtered face coverings, we also offer respirator masks and surgical masks at UK Meds.

Surgical masks work by creating a barrier between the respiratory system (nose and mouth) of the wearer, and the immediate environment. This includes any other person in that environment, that may need protecting. An example would be a surgeon wearing a medical mask while performing surgery, to prevent any droplets from their nose and mouth from reaching the patient.

Respirator masks on the other hand, filter particles of dust out of the air. If the mask is a FFP2/N95, it means that it can filter over 95% of dust particles out of the air.
