Pregabalin is a medication that comes as capsules, oral solution, and extended-release tablets, used for the treatment of pain caused that may occur in your arms, hands, fingers, feet, leg, or toes if you are diabetic or have postherpetic neuralgia; and the pain that may last for many months or years after a shingles attack. The medicine can also be used for the relief of neuropathic pain that can occur after a spinal cord injury and to treat fibromyalgia. This medicine, together with other medications, is used to treat certain types of seizures in adults and children 4 years of age and older.

Pregabalin belongs to the class of medications known as anticonvulsants.

Pregabalin is an anticonvulsant. It works by reducing the number of pain signals that are sent out by damaged nerves in the body.

The main benefit of using Pregabalin is the relief it provides for the pain caused by diabetes, postherpetic neuralgia, and neuralgic pain that occurs after a spinal cord injury.

This medication effectively decreases the number of pain signals that are sent out by damaged nerves in the body.

Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor on how to use this medication. It will help also if you will read first the Patient Information Leaflet that comes with the medication package before you start using this medicine. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or your pharmacist.

Pregabalin should be taken by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once daily after your evening meal. Swallow the tablets whole, without crushing, splitting, or chewing. Doing so will release all the drugs at once, increasing your risk of side effects.

The dosage of this medication is based on your medical condition and your response to the treatment. Your doctor may decide to start you at a low dose of this medication and gradually increase your dose as a way of reducing your risk of side effects.

You should take this medication on a regular basis in order to get the most benefit from it. Taking the medication at about the same time each day will help you remember your dose.

Do not stop taking this medication without the approval of your doctor. Some conditions may worsen when this medication is suddenly stopped. You may also experience symptoms such as nausea, difficulty sleeping, headache, and diarrhoea. Your doctor may reduce your dose gradually in order to prevent these symptoms. If your symptoms worsen or you have new symptoms, report to your doctor right away.

This medication, while helpful to many people, can cause addiction. Your risk for addiction may be higher if you have a substance disorder, such as you overuse drugs or alcohol. You can lower the risk of addiction by taking the medication as prescribed.

Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsen.

The usual dose of Pregabalin is once daily, after your evening meal.

Your doctor prescribed this medication because he deemed that the benefits to you outweigh the risks of side effects, although not everyone who used this medication experienced the side effects.

The common side effects of Pregabalin include:

    • Dizziness
    • A headache
    • Drowsiness
    • Nausea
    • Dry mouth
    • Weight gain
    • Constipation

If any of these side effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor immediately.

Inform your doctor immediately if you have any serious side effects, including:

    • Vision changes
    • Muscle pain or tenderness
    • Unusual bleeding or bruising
    • Swelling of the hands, ankles, and feet

A small number of people who are taking anticonvulsants for any condition may experience suicidal thoughts or attempts, or other mental or mood problems. Immediately inform your doctor if you or your family notice any sudden changes in your thoughts, mood, or behaviour including signs of depression, or suicidal attempts or thoughts.

There are very few reported cases of serious allergic reaction to Pregabalin. However, seek immediate medical help if you notice any of the symptoms of an allergic reaction including rash, severe dizziness, itching or swelling of the face/tongue/throat, or trouble breathing.

If you experience any other side effects that could be associated with your use of this medication, report them immediately to your doctor.

Before you start taking Pregabalin, inform your doctor if you are allergic to this medication, or if you have other allergies. This medicine may have some inactive ingredients that can trigger an allergic reaction or other problems.

Before you start using this medication, share with your doctor your medical history, especially of heart problems, history of an allergic reaction, kidney disease, history of substance use disorder.

This medication may make you drowsy, dizzy, or cause blurred vision. Alcohol consumption and marijuana use may make the problems worse. Do not drive a vehicle, operate machinery, or perform any task that requires alertness until you are sure that you can handle the job safely. Avoid consuming alcoholic beverages. Discuss with your doctor your marijuana use.

The use of this medication during pregnancy is not recommended. Use it only when clearly necessary. Discuss with your doctor the benefits and risk of using this drug during your pregnancy.

Pregabalin passes into breast milk. Discuss first with your doctor the benefits and risks of breastfeeding while taking this medication.

Drug interactions may alter the way your medicines work or may increase your risk for side effects. Share with your doctor a list of all medications you are currently using to allow him to check for an unsafe combination. Do not start taking a new medicine, stop the use of a medicine, or change the dosage of any of your medicines without first getting the approval of your doctor.

You can safely buy Pregabalin online at UK Meds. You will need first to have an online consultation with a medical doctor before your order will be supplied. The online consultation will ensure that Pregabalin is the right medication for your medical condition.
