To use Ventolin inhalers, start by shaking the contents inside the canister very well. Test a spray before you use it. A mist emitting from the canister would only mean that your inhaler is functioning well. Do not spray the solution near your eye area. Inhale the drug orally and use it following a window of 6 hours each dose.
The typical dose to relieve breathing problems is 1 to 2 inhalation for sufferers aged twelve years and above. One inhalation is enough for pediatric patients aged eleven years and below.
Ventolin dosage necessary at a given case is dependent on the medical condition, age, and response to treatment of the patient. Never increase the dose without first securing the approval of your doctor. Too much Ventolin use can result to serious adverse effects on health. Use one to two inhalations for adults, and only one inhalation for children aged 12 years and below.
The salbutamol inhalers come with an active ingredient of ‘Salbutamol Sulfate,’ stored in a canister made of aluminum. Every canister of Ventolin can deliver sufficient amounts of Salbutamol per inhalation.
For 12 years and over, the dose is 2.5 mg to 5 mg four times a day. For kids aged 5 years to 12, the dose is 2.5 mg four times a day.
Each ml of solution comes with Salbutamol Sulfate of 5 mg. Contains Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01%, Sulphuric Acid, and Water for injection.
Ventolin nebules come in 1 mg/ml. Every dose comes with 2.5 mg Salbutamol base. Contains Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01%, Sulphuric Acid, and Water for injection.
Every blister pack comes with Salbutamol 200 µg (as sulfate). Comes with Lactose (milk protein) which works as carrier of salbutamol instead of water.
